We have a Bible teaching Sunday School for all ages, Nursery through adults. We believe that Sunday School is an important part of the teaching ministry at Cornerstone. Join us this Sunday at 10:00am!
We believe the Nursery is a very important part of Ministry. With loving and caring ladies watching the babies, the adults can concentrate on the Bible message and distractions are kept to a minimum.
The Lord tells us in Matthew 19:13, 14 to let the children come unto Him.
Our children are the next generation of believers. We need to train up our children from the cradle to love the Lord.
Proverbs 22:6
-
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it"
Children are our next generation. What a blessing it is to be able to preach to them the Gospel!
We have an exciting and extensive Children's program. From the Bus Ministry to the Sunday school to the Childrens' Church, we are doing our best to be obedient to
Matthew 19:14 - "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto Me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
In June of 2002, we started our Annual Old Fashion Gospel Revival and continue it until this day. It is always a blessing to see the folks come out each year. The first 12 yrs. we set up an Old Fashion Gospel Tent and invited the community to come out to hear some Bluegrass Gospel Music and Old Time Preaching! The meetings are now held down the road at the Lion's Club Five Senses Nature Park, 6535 Ward Rd. 14304. We will still have all the same amenities, Bluegrass Music, Local Church Choirs, BBQ on Friday, etc. Won't you come out and have your heart warmed by Christ-centered Preaching?
The Bible tells us to go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in.
Luke 14:23 - "And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled"
At Cornerstone we believe the old paths are the best paths. Therefore we continue the tradition of singing the old hymns.
Hymns breathe the praise of the saints, the vision of the prophets, the prayers of the penitent, and the spirit of the martyrs. They bring solace to the sad, assurance to the perplexed, faith to the doubter, and comfort to the oppressed. They span centuries of history and bridge the barriers of denominations. Study them to be pure in heart, sing them to be joyful of spirit, and store them in mind to possess a treasury of worship.
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost…and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." -
Matthew 28:19,20
In obedience to this command, we help support over 30 different missionaries around the world through giving financially, praying, and participating in missions. We love our missionaries and every March we enjoy an Annual Missions Conference where we spend several days listening to, fellowshipping with, encouraging, and supporting one another. Each week Pastor highlights a particular missionary to keep us up to date on their current needs and prayer requests.
